WATER BORE SPECIALISTS

RWL specialises in designing, constructing & installing new water wells to provide water for domestic supplies, stock water, farm supplies, irrigation, commercial, & industrial supplies.

We service the Horowhenua,
Manawatu, and Kapiti regions - Levin, Shannon, Foxton, Otaki, Palmerston North, and more.

Owned and operated by Richard Webb - a third generation water well driller with 50 years hands-on experience.

RWL has successfully completed numerous
high-yield, high-efficiency production bores for farms, councils, horticulture, commercial, and industrial supplies, as well as hundreds of domestic and stock water supply bores for many satisfied property owners.

In addition to the many bores completed under RWL, Richard has personally constructed hundreds more exemplary wells over the course of his water well career, which began in 1975 under the expert eye of his father, Nevill.  As the head operator on flagship projects, from almost the start of his working life, he brings decades of hands-on expertise to every project.

We are a small company - Richard personally constructs all bores, ensuring that our clients benefit fully from his extensive skills and knowledge.

We take pride in our service and the results we deliver, and we extend our gratitude to our customers for their continued referrals.

Each water well is designed according to the specific water quantity and/or quality requirements of the client, and with consideration of the hydrogeological conditions expected at the site.

We offer expert advice on the feasibility of your proposal and will design your bore to give the best possible chance of achieving your desired outcome — drawing on our extensive regional knowledge and experience with local aquifers.

Once a bore is designed, we construct it to the highest standard — with precision, care, and the same attention to detail we’d expect on our own land.  Every stage of construction is carried out with a strong focus on durability, performance, and long-term reliability.

DIAGNOSIS & SCREEN slot SELECTION

Accurate diagnosis is crucial for success.  The water-bearing performance can be evaluated with high precision. Whenever feasible, our samples are natural and uncrushed to ensure optimal screen slot size selection.  When this is not possible, our expertise ensures consistent and reliable results.

MAXIMUM WELL SCREEN SLOT size

Performance and efficiency are maximized by selecting a screen slot size that is appropriate for the natural formation sizes and gradients.

well development
to max efficiency

Well development is essential.
Finer particles smaller than the screen slot size are removed from a radius behind the screen, resulting in an envelope of optimally sized particles to maximize performance and efficiency, and minimise drawdown, required pump size, and operating costs.

STABILITY &
final testing

All bores are designed & developed to achieve optimal performance and stability. They undergo extensive testing to ensure trouble-free

operation for the end user.

PUMP-TESTING -
all bore purposes

All bores are tested to evaluate performance parameters for selecting a pump,  and in the case of submersible pumps, determining a suitable and safe setting depth within the bore.

PUMP-TESTING -
all bore purposes

Bores are frequently tested over and above the end-use requirements and are designed to provide ample scope for future expansion, where formations permit.
